Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read this site and use the software it describes. The target for fossstudio.org is WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What's in place
- One dark set of colors, every text and background pair measured against the AA rule, whatever your machine is set to
- Full keyboard operation, visible focus outlines, and a skip-to-content link
- Your reduced-motion preference is honored: animations stop, and the playable game waits for a deliberate press instead of auto-starting
- One self-hosted font with system fallbacks, real text throughout, and images with alternative text
Known limits
The waiting-room game demo is drawn on a canvas, so its play isn't available to screen readers. It's optional entertainment, labeled as such, and nothing on the site depends on it. The FOSSStudio application itself is a live video tool and parts of it are inherently visual; we keep improving its labeling and keyboard support release by release.
Tell us what's in the way
If anything on this site is hard to use with your setup, email complaints@lightmorphic.com and tell us what happened and what you were using. This is a free, open-source project worked on as time allows, so we can't promise timescales - but accessibility problems are taken seriously and fixed as soon as someone can get to them.
